Karaï DJ is a Brazilian artist based in Paris, DJ, percussionist, and drummer with a unique style. A true maestro of the dancefloor, he blends the energy of live percussion with the power of Afrobeat, Samba, and Brazilian Bailefunk to create unforgettable sets.

Born in Brazil, he grew up to the rhythm of music and started performing on stage from a very young age. Living in Paris since the age of 21, he refined his art at the Blanc-Mesnil Conservatory before collaborating with big names such as Sting, Will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas), Aya Nakamura, Gipsy Kings by André Reyes, SCH, Rilès, Christophe Maé, Vianney as well as Mokhtar Samba, Salif Keita, Jain, Vianney…

For 10 years, he has been the percussionist for the world tours of the Gipsy Kings by André Reyes, with concerts in more than 38 countries. He has also accompanied dozens of artists in the studio, on television and at major festivals (Montreux Jazz, The Voice, RockinRio, Lollapalooza, Taratata…).

On stage, as a solo DJ, Karaï doesn’t just mix on his turntables: he also plays percussion and sings live, for a unique experience.
